Sting award top players and introduce draft picks.

RBC Centre - The Sarnia Sting held their 2010/11 awards ceremony Friday night, handing out honours to the players for last season.

Nathan Chiarlitti picked up the first two awards on the night, the Humanitarian Award, in which he helped coach local hockey kids, as well as the Scholastic Award for outstanding academics throughout the season.

Top Defencemen honours went o Joe Rogalski while Daniel Broussard and Alex Galchenyuk picked up the award for Commitment to Conditioning.

Galchenyuk also got the award for Rookie of the Year, which he shared with Nail Yakupov, who also picked up the Top Scorer award and MVP award, but was no in attendance and was back in Russia.

The Sting also presented watches to their overage players, including Joe Rogalski, Daniel Brossard and Tyler Peters.

Also introduced was the Sting draft choices for 2011, which included first round draft pick Ryan Kujawinski, second round pick Anthony DeAngelo and third round pick Davis Brown.

The Sting will hold a mini-camp over the weekend for last years and this years draft picks which included two scrimmage games Saturday at 6:00pm and Sunday at 10:00am. Both are open to the public.
