Soccer and baseball headlined todays LSSAA action Thursday with seven games on the schedule.
In the second game of senior girls soccer, St. Chris shutout St. Pat's 5-0. Janelle Labadie had two goals, while Val Spano, Carolyn Doidge and Alicia DaSilva had the other lone goals, with Celine Norman picking up the shutout. St. Chris improves to 3-0-1-0 on the season and sit in second place, while St. Pat's is 0-0-2-0 and in fifth place.
Two other shutouts happened in senior boys soccer. St. Chris's boys team also defeated St. Patrick's 5-0, with Thomas Moxley and Alex DeCarolis scoring two goals each and Mark Spinozzi getting a single goal. St. Chris goes to 4-1-0-0 and sits in first place, while St. Pat's moves to 1-0-3-0 and is in fifth.
Northern picked up a 3-0 victory over North Lambton. Elliot Pecora had two goals while Obidiah Atkinson had a single goal and Zach Roberts picking up the shutout. Northern sits in second place with a 4-0-1-1 record while North Lambton is in third place with a 3-0-1-0 record.
Boys baseball also got games in as well. LCCVI defeated St. Chris 8-4 in Wyoming. Reid Young scored 3 runs, while Chris Godwin picked up the victory.
And the Northern Vikings defeated North Lambton 12-1 in Forest. Mitch Bigras and Josh Taylor combined to pitch a no hitter.
