The Chatham Vipers defeated the Mooretown Storm in the final round robin game of the Atom division, with the Vipers winning 4-1.
The Vipers started quickly as Brenden Hunter gets a hold of the puck in close, pulls it back onto his forehand and puts it in the open net to give the Vipers a 1-0 lead.
Mooretown would try and counter with their own attack, but Viper goalie Justice Durocher came up with two huge challenging saves, stopping Keaton Ranger on a poke check and keeping his shutout alive.
The Vipers would come back down the ice on a 2 on 0, but Storm goalie Braiden Shaw would make a pad save, while back the other direction Durocher would make big save himself, keeping it 1-0 after the first.
In the second, the Vipers would again strike quickly. Jacob Cuthburt put a nice deke on Shaw, putting the puck into the open net to put his team up 2-0.

Mooretown would try to cut into the lead as Travis Nicholson had two chances, but couldn't put it passed Durocher. Joseph Kraayenbrink had a chance on a breakaway, but his low shot couldn't solve Durocher. The Storm managed to kill off a powerplay and not allow the Vipers to score again, sending the game into the third still down 2-0.
In the third, Nicholson had another chance but his wrist shot was stopped, as was an extra 2 on 0 chance by Mooretown.
It would prove costly as the Vipers would score on a wrap around goal, increasing the lead to 3-0.
But Mooretown would finally respond and quickly to the Vipers third goal. Kraayenbrink would get a breakaway and his wrist shot would beat the wall of the Vipers, making it 3-1. The Storm would get a few extra chances to decrease the lead, but Durocher would cover up quickly.
Cuthbert would add a fourth goal for the Vipers, deking through the Storm defence and sending a wrist shot into the net for his second of the game.
Mooretown and Chatham will meet in the finals Sunday for the Atom division.
