Toronto,
ON – The Canadian Hockey League announced that
Taylor Beck of the Guelph Storm is the CHL Player of
the Week for the week ending February 27. Beck
picked up 13 points in four games scoring four goals
and nine assists with a plus-minus rating of plus-6.
Beck began his week with a career-high six-point
game last Monday scoring two goals including the
game-winner and adding four assists as first star of
a 10-4 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. He
picked up first star honours again on Friday when he
registered a five-point game with two goals and
three assists in a 7-4 win over the Barrie Colts.
Although he was held scoreless on Saturday night in
a 4-3 loss to the Owen Sound Attack, Beck grabbed
two assists on Sunday to help lift the Storm to a
4-2 win over the Kingston Frontenacs.
Beck, a 19-year-old from Niagara Falls, ON, is
playing in his fourth OHL season with the Storm. His

also considered for the award with 11 points in
three games scoring once and adding 10 assists.
