sarniasports.com march 9th, 2011

The Wallaceburg Lakers have knotted the series up at 2-2 with the Wheatley Sharks, as the Lakers took game four 4-3 in overtime, as each team continues to beat the other on the road.

The first period saw a lot of pucks in the back of the net, as Josh Tremblay opened the scoring just 1:17 into the first, putting the Sharks up 1-0. It would take the Lakers twelve minutes to respond as Norm Leger got his second of the playoffs to know it at 1-1. Sam Jasmin would score thirty-six seconds after that to give the Lakers their first lead of the game.

But the Lakers would only enjoy that lead for forty-five seconds, as Shane Vienneau would score to tie it up again at 2-2. Thirty-one seconds after that, Dustin Woelk would put the Sharks back in front, giving the Sharks a 3-2 lead heading into the second.

Despite 13 shots on net the Lakers could not knot the game up, but held the Sharks scoreless as well on 10 shots.

In the third, Jasmin would get his second of the game 2:23 into the period to even the game back up at 3-3. The Lakers would only get 7 shots on net, but would not allow the Sharks to score any on their 14 shots.

In overtime, Leger would give the Lakers the victory with his second of the game, as the Lakers win for the second time on the road in the series.

Matt Berglund made 39 saves in the victory.

Game 5 will go March 12th in Wallaceburg.
