Lambton
traveled to
Glencoe for
game two of
the
round-robin
series to
battle the
Chiefs from
Elgin-Middlesex.
No scoring
occurred in
the first
period with
Ethan Hunt
making a
couple of
big saves
and Lambton
testing the
Chiefs’
goalie.
Period two
saw Elgin
open the
scoring but
then
Lambton’s
Ryan Gould
continued
his scoring
ways when he
got the Jr.
Sting going,
burying a
wrister
after
Brennan
McKegan
forced the
turnover
with some
good fore
checking.
Max Steeves
increased
the lead to
two when he
deposited a
rebound
after Nic
DiScanno
went to the
net hard.
The
versatile
Ryan Brown,
playing
forward
tonight,
went top
shelf after
a beautiful
stretch pass
from Ben
Schoch, to
increase the
lead to 3-1
at the end
of the
second.
Jack Hackett
added a 4th
for the Jr.
Sting on the
power play
scoring off
of nice
set-up from
Max Steeves.
Jared Pageau
would score
number five
for the Jr.
Sting when
he
intercepted
a pass on
the penalty
kill and
fired home a
wrister from
the hash
marks. Elgin
would score
one on the
power play
to stem the
tide but
Pageau would
add another
within
seconds,
when he took
the puck off
the ensuing
face-off
again cut to
the middle
of the ice
to bury
another hash
mark wrister.
The Chiefs
scored to
make it 6-3
but were
unable to
get any
closer.
Ethan Hunt
was in net

strong
outing to
get the win.

Gould each
