The Point Edward Skating Club is celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year. The celebration will be taking place the weekend of April 1-3, 2011, mainly at the Point Edward arena. I was wondering how we go about posting this info on Sarnia Sports.

The events planned for the weekend are as follows:

Friday, April 1
Open Skate from 8-10pm, there will be a “Wine and Cheese” in the Optimist Hall adjacent to the Point Edward Arena, cash bar. All Alumni Welcome.

Saturday, April 2
10am Alumni Practice for Carnival Number, All Alumni Welcome but please “sign up” for this activity either by contacting Kim Drury or Carol Shrumm or through the PESC 50th Facebook page (kim_drury@srgroup.ca, jcshrumm@cogeco.ca, fb Point Edward Skating Club 50th Anniversary)
Carnival 2pm and 7pm
Meet and Greet @ Stokes by the Bay from 4:30-6:30pm, All Alumni Welcome.
Carnival Party in the Optimist Hall adjacent to the Point Edward Arena following evening show, Party Tickets are $5, cash bar.

Sunday, April 2
Brunch @ SGCC at 10am, All Alumni Welcome but please make a reservation with Kim Drury via email or phone (kim_drury@srgroup.ca or 519-336-4741)
Carnival 2pm

Please note: There will be no charge for the Open Skate on Friday evening, Alumni will be allowed to buy a Carnival Weekend Pass for $8, Carnival Party will be $5/person, Brunch will be $20/person, programs will be available for $10 each.

It is skating carnival season again at the Point Edward Skating Club. Our Ice Show is called Ice Reflections 2011: Through the Years. It happens on the weekend of April 2 and 3, with shows at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the Saturday, and at 2 p.m. only on the Sunday. Tickets are once again $10 for adults and $8 for children, 4-17. Tickets will be available for sale at the arena after March Break, and at the door on the weekend of the event. We’re pulling our all the stops this year because it’s our club’s 50th Anniversary.
