On – Sarnia Sting General Manager Jacques Beaulieu
announced this afternoon the Sarnia Sting Hockey
Club has hired Chad Oliver to be its new Head
Trainer.
Oliver a native of Bracebridge, Ontario worked last
season with the Athletic Therapist and Equipment
Manager for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BC
Hockey League. He also worked last season with Team
Canada West at the 2010 World Junior A Challenge.
Previous to working for the Bulldogs Oliver also had
volunteered with the New York Rangers and the
Manitoba Moose gaining valuable experience from the
training staffs of both of those clubs.
Oliver attended the University of Windsor and
received his Bachelor of Forensic Science and would
then later attend the University of Manitoba where
he graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology –
Athletic Therapy.
Beaulieu is pleased to welcome Oliver to the
organization.
“Chad is a very well educated individual with a lot
of practical experience in his field. He will
provide our players with first class treatment and
his background will be an asset to our Medical Staff
as he will work hand in hand with our Team Doctors.
I am happy to welcome Chad to our Coaching Staff and
look forward to working closely with him this
season.”
