April
26th Sarnia Pacers at Wallaceburg Griffins (Tyke)
On Tuesday the Pacer Tykes made their first trip
of the year to face their division rivals – the
Wallaceburg Griffins. Wallaceburg is fielding two
tyke teams this year and after a convincing home
victory against Wallaceburg’s second string team the
first string Griffins posed considerably more of a
challenge. The Griffins drove hard to the net on the
very first play leaving the Pacers trailing by four
points at the end of the first period. The Pacers
were not to be left empty handed in the second
however with goals by Brett Vince and Eric McDonald
and several good attempts by Sebastian Frenette,
Gavin Burgess and Hunter Dalgety. With a five on
three advantage in the second period the Griffins
were denied any points on their power play by goal
tender Sean Foster. The Pacers finished up a very
physical game with a goal by Hunter Dalgety in the
third for a final score of Griffins 8 and Pacers 3.
Thursday April 28th London Blue Devils at Sarnia

against the London Blue Devils. The Devils came on
strong in the first, with their “Nemesis Number
Nine” scoring three goals. The Pacers picked up
their defensive game with some physical play by
Gavin Burgess and AP Jackson Rawcliffe allowing
Corson Young to slip one by the feet of the Blue
Devils goalie. The second period was considerably
more rewarding for the Pacers with goals by Caelan
Babenko, Eric McDonald, and two by Hunter Dalgety.
Not to be left out of the action, Sebastian Frenette
scored two goals in the third with good attempts by
Hunter Dalgety, Eric McDonald, and Caelan Babenko.
The Pacers looked great in this game both
defensively and offensively but the Devils managed
to squeak out a 9-7 victory.

by several players including Sebastian Frenette and
Eric McDonald. The Pacers finished up the third
period with goals by Sebastian Frenette and two by
Eric McDonald. Notable attempts were by Jaxon
Rawcliffe, Mason Winegard-Milne and Corson Young. A
tough defensive game in the third managed to hold

Game
2
The second game of the Pacers double header against
the Sun County Crows proved to be a real nail biter.
Sebastian Frenette started the game off with a goal
early in the first assisted by Eric McDonald. Eric
had a busy first period scoring another goal and
assisting on a goal by Konner Adams. Frenette would
also contribute a second goal in the first period
giving the Pacers a three goal lead going into the
second period. The Crows were not to be denied their
chance however, coming on strong with four goals in
the second. The Pacers responded with two goals from
Hunter Dalgety, another from Eric McDonald and a
timely assist from Corson Young. Not to be outdone
however, the Crows managed four goals in the second
and three in the third making it a tie game with 40
seconds left on the clock. With only seconds to
spare Hunter Dalgety managed to win a pivotal
face-off and run the ball down the floor for an
unassisted goal to put the Pacers one up on the
Crows and end the game with a 9-8 win.
