In their most closely contested game against the
London Bluedevils so far, the Pacer Tykes managed to
tie the game thanks to a couple of last minute goals
by number nine Ryder Nienhuis. The Pacers managed
only one goal (Ryder Nienhuis, Hunter Dalgety
assisted) in the first period but also managed to
keep London to two goals.
The pacers came out on fire however, scoring four
goals in the second (Sebastian Frenette, Eric
McDonald, Brett Vince, Ryder Nienhuis) to London's
single goal. This brought the Pacers into the third
period with a 5 - 3 lead. The Bluedevils came alive
in the third period and scored an impressive six
goals.
The Pacers weren't about to let that stop them and
showed great determination in the third as both
McDonald and Nienhuis scored a goal apiece. With the
Pacers behind and less than three minutes left on
the clock Nienhuis (assisted by Corson, Young) in
his best showing ever, put two more goals in the net
to tie the game 9 - 9.
The Pacers next face an undefeated Wallaceburg 1
team on the 23rd in Wallaceburg.
