In Corunna,on Friday night, June 17, in the second
game of a home-and-home, the Wyoming Wrangler
Bantams defeated Corunna for this second time this
week, this time by the count of 10-4.
The visitors took control of the game early, scoring
1 run in the top of the first and then breaking the
game wide open with 6 more runs in the second.
Wyoming received solid pitching. Spencer Burden
threw the first three innings, giving up just 3
runs. Ian Kerrigan followed with 3 shutout innings
and Joey Vanderwal pitched the 7th.
It was the best hitting game of the year for the
Wranglers, as they pounded out 8 hits. Christian
Kerrigan led the way with a single and a double, and
Kolton Knott chipped in with 2 singles. With
secondary school exams on the horizon, Wyoming now
has a week off.
They will next travel to Dresden for a 6:30 game on
Monday, June 27.
