The Alvinston Indians travelled to Fingal on Thursday evening for a tilt with the Shedden Mission. The Indians started the offence early and were relentless in their attack. Alvinston swingers went deep on five occasions on the evening, including a second three homerun game in the past three games for Indians first baseman Jeff Ingram.

Joe Triest led off the game for Alvinston with a homerun, and then with two out, Ingram went deep for his first homer, for an early 2-0 lead. Indians young hurler Jeff Lyons took the mound, and allowed a Shedden run in the first inning, for. 2-1 Alvinston lead after 1 inning. Then Shedden added two more runs in their half of the second, and held a 3-2 lead.

However, Alvinston replied in a big way in the third inning, when Andy Triest and Chris Drew both singled, and then scored on Ingram's second homerun, a three run shot just over the centrefield fence. Now with a 5-3 lead, Lyons settled down on the mound for Alvinston holding Shedden off the scoresheet in the third and fourth innings.

That set things up for another three run outburst for Alvinston in the top of the fifth inning. Drew singled, Ingram reached after being hit by a pitch, and then Chapman delivered a sac bunt to advance the runners to second and third. Then with two out, Eric Hyatt delivered a clutch 2 out 2 RBI single, cashing both Drew and Ingram. Hyatt then counted when he was hit home on a RBI single by Chris Sheppard, making the score, 8-3.

Lyons was touched up for one run in the fifth when Cooke went deep for Shedden, but the kid finished the inning, and left with a 8-4 lead for Alvinston.

Then the Indians exploded in the sixth inning, when they counted five runs. J. Triest singled to start things off, then Andy Triest was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second. Drew then followed with his third single on the night, and drove home Brady Davenport, who entered the game as a pinch runner for Joe Triest. Jeff Ingram then came to the plate and hammered his third homer of the game, and his second three run homer of the game. Then with one out, Aaron Stocking got involved in the power and clubbed a homerun of his own, making the score 13-4 for Alvinston.

Doug Charlton took over on the mound for Alvinston in the sixth inning, and allowed one run, but that was all, as the Indians closed out the game after six innings, with a 13-5 win.

Ingram was 3/3 for Alvinston, with three homers, 1 hit by pitch, 4 runs scored, and a 7 RBI game. Drew was 3/4 for Alvinston with 3 singles, 3 runs scored, and 1 RBI. Sheppard and Tom Jobson were 2/4 for Alvinston, while Jobson had two doubles. Joe Triest was 2/3 with 1 homerun, a single, 1 RBI, 1 run, and 1 walk. Hyatt and Andy Triest were both 1/3 with a walk, while Hyatt had 2 key RBI's, and Triest counted 2 runs. Lyons got the win on the mound for Alvinston.
