Sarnia, On – Twenty eight bowlers participated in the June 14th jitney held at the Sarnia Lawn Bowling Club at Germain Park. Ed Braithwaite and Gord McKay won first place. Jim Foley and Betty Baldwin placed second, Lorna Hugget and Mary Winter third, Claudette Daamen and Debbie Archer fourth. Joyce Dewey and Tom Daamen were consolation winners.

A jitney is a term the club uses to describe ad hoc games. Teams are decided before games start, usually by drawing names. The number of teams and the number of players per team is decided by the number of people who attend. Jitneys are played every Tuesday and Thursday evening starting at
6:30 pm.
