On
Tuesday, June 14, the Wyoming Wrangler Bantams got
back to their winning ways, defeating Corunna 4-2 in
a game played at Canton Park in Wyoming.
The home
team got solid pitching combined with some timely
hitting. After Eric Jamieson pitched a scoreless
first inning, he left with a slightly sore arm. Cody
Clark came on and pitched four more shutout innings,
giving up only 2 hits while striking out 7 Corunna
batters. Eric Steeves then came on to close. He gave
up 2 unearned runs in the 6th before finishing off
the visitors in the 7th.
Kolton
Knott drove in the game’s first run with a 2-out
single in the bottom of the 4th. The Wranglers then
added 3 more in their half of the 5th, 2 of them
coming on a base hit by Will Charron.
Wyoming
pays a return visit to Corunna this coming Friday
with a 6:15 start time.
