On – Sarnia Sting General Manager Jacques Beaulieu
announced this afternoon the Sarnia Sting Hockey
Club has completed a trade with the Sault Ste Marie
Greyhounds.
The Sting acquired forward Justin Thomas and a 3rd
round draft pick in 2012 from the Greyhounds in
exchange for forward Brandon Alderson, a 5th round
pick in 2012 and a pair of conditional draft choices
in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.
Beaulieu explains his thoughts on the transaction.
“Justin is a player with a tremendous amount of
potential. If he commits himself to being a player
he has the size and the tools to be a power forward
in our league who can score 30 goals. Also in
acquiring a 3rd round pick that is a valuable asset
for us to have moving forward this off season.”
