Fury White falls to Wallaceburg on the road

Sarnia Fury Boys U10 played in Wallaceburg on a moderately warm and windy night, losing 6-4 on the road. After first 10 minutes of opening play with lots of exchanges of possession, Sarnia's team started to control midfield with recognizable passing game. Evan Trigatti, Brady Medeiros, Logan Johnston and Marc Barsoum made many good passes that made Wallaceburg team work hard in order to stay in position.

 

Many chances were created and 4 goals were scored. The first goal came from the corner kick. Stefan Pisic’s well placed corner kick found Mark Barsoum, who reacted well placing the ball behind Wallaceburg team goalie. Barsoum scored two more goals showing his great finishing skills on nice assists from his teammates. 4th goal came on Brendan Bouterse’s cross. Bouterse spotted Logan Johnston on far post side and ended up scoring when Wallaceburg defender tried to cut the ball. Nathan Oliphant and Ian Bailey worked hard in defense, while Collin Zimmer had strong game on the net. The score at half time was 4:2 for Fury Boys.

Second half brought surprisingly different style of play and Wallaceburg team took opportunity to take control of the game. Fury Boys looked strong in first 10 minutes of the second half creating 4 good chances that were not converted to goals. Wallaceburg took advantage of given midfield space to come quickly into attack and they scored 4 goals in last 15 minutes of the game to earn their second victory on home field this season. Camden MacLean was reliable defender in second half. Logan Johnston and Stefan Pisic split their goalie duties in second half.
