The
Sturgeon franchise was victorious in a pair of games
on the road this past weekend. The undefeated
PeeWees improved their record to 7-0 with a 21-0
victory in Kitchener over the Twin Cities Predators.
The
bantam's playoff hopes suffered a setback with a
14-0 defeat at the hands of the Burlington
Stampeders. To make the playoffs the bantams need to
win their last game of the year and have the Huronia
Stallions defeat the Chatham-Kent Cougars.
The
Junior Varsity improved their record to 5-2 with a
victory in Toronto against the Toronto Junior
Argonauts. The Sturgeon opened up a 28-7 lead and
cruised to a 48-35 victory.
All three teams close out the regular season this
coming weekend at Norm Perry Park. The PeeWees host
Chatham Friday evening at 7:30 pm, the Bantams play
Wentworth Sunday at noon and the Junior Varsity
tackle the Twin Cities Predators following the
bantam game at 2 pm.
