Then Jamie Shields scored the go ahead run in the third inning, when he scored on an RBI single by Chris Sheppard. Alvinston then added one more run in the sixth, when Indians first baseman Jeff Ingram was hit by a pitch, advanced to third on a Tom Jobson single, and then pinch runner Pat Sanders scored the third run for Alvinston, on a Joe Triest RBI single. The final score was 3-1 for Alvinston, as they earned both wins in the double header. Crawford was dominant in the win for Alvinston, allowing one earned run in seven innings, and only two hits, while walking two, and fanning 13 Glanworth swingers.

The Indians are now 13-3 on the season in league play, and are at home on Sunday afternoon versus Springfield, for a 2pm start.
