LSSAA full day of action

Sarnia, ON -  LSSAA finished their first week back from the Winter break with a full day of action.

Junior Girls Volleyball

St. Patrick's improved to 5-3 on the season with a 3-0 victory over the winless SCITS Blue Bombers, winning the three matches 25-15, 25-8, 25-13. Emily Peckham was named player of the match for the Irish and Destiny Nicholson was for the Bombers.

Northern also won 3-0 and improved to 8-3, while the St. Chris Cyclones remained undefeated with a 2-1 victory over St. Francoise-Xavier.

St. Clair moved into 4th place with a 2-1 victory over North Lambton. The Colts won 25-11, 28-26, and the Eagles took the their match 25-19. Vanessa Archer and Abby Martin were players of the match.

Senior Girls Volleyball

Northern improved to 7-0 on the season with a 2-1 victory over LCCVI. Northern won 25-12, 25-20, and LCCVI won a match 25-13. Deanna Ritchie and E. Lochner were players of the match.

St. Clair improved to 6-2 with a 3-0 victory over North Lambton. The Colts won 25-19, 25-14 and 25-15. Lexie Hanly was the player of the match for St. Clair.

Junior Boys Basketball

St. Clair moved to 6-4 on the season with a 53-42 victory over North Lambton. Gerald Maness had 22 points for the Colts while, Joey Vanderwal had 14, and Andrew Newman had 12 points. M. Nahkwal had 10 for the Eagles in the loss.

St. Patrick's moved to 8-2 with a 49-34 victory over SCITS. P. Whitson had 19 points for the Irish, while K. Smith had 14 points for the Bombers who are 0-9 on the season.

St. Chris moved to 10-0 while St. Francoise moved to 0-9 with a 64-12 victory by the Cyclones.

Boys Hockey

St. Clair shutout the SCITS Blue Bombers, as Kalen Hellinga score four goals for the Colts, and Seth Kelly added a hat-trick. Matt Brandon and Karsten Berh each had a goal and Steve Taylor picked up the shutout in net. St. Clair moves to 2-4 while SCITS goes to 0-6 on the year.
