The ice was in use on Monday for LSSAA sports, as
hockey and curling took the stage.
SCITS
earned their first win of the season by defeating
North Lambton 8-1. Dan Bowling, Pat Magermans and
Matt Glowa each had two goals for the Blue Bombers,
while Di Maria and Machan had singles. Greg Sheppard
got the lone goal for the Eagles in the loss. SCITS
will take on St. Christopher's Tuesday in a make up
game.
There was
also three curling matches on Monday. In girls
curling, Northern and St. Christopher tied 5-5, each
winning three ends each. Both teams are at 2-0-1-3
records and sit tied for third.
North
Lambton had to forefeit to LCCVI in the other girls
curling match.
In boys
vurling, LCCVI defeated North Lambton 6-5. LCCVI
improves to 5-1-1 on the year, while North Lambton
falls to 0-1-7.
And in the
final match, St. Christopher's beat Northern 8-1,
winning 5 ends to the Viking's 1. St. Christopher's
remains in first place with a 5-1-0 record, while
Northern goes to 3-1-3, and sits in fourth.
