LSSAA high school sports had another big day on
Thursday. Here are the results from Thursday.
In senior
boys basketball, St. Christopher's remained
undefeated with a 61-29 victory over SCITS. Rocca
had 12 points, while DeCarolis had 11 for the
Cyclones. Wilson had 9 and Hare 7 for the Blue
Bombers.
In
volleyball action, St. Chris defeated SCITS 3-0 in
junior girls volleyball, winning 25-4, 25-7 and
25-19. Kylene D'Esterre was named player of the
match for St. Chris, while Andie Storozuk was player
of the match for Blue Bombers.
In senior
girls action, St. Chris completed the sweep winning
3-0 as well. They won each set 25-10, 25-15, 25-12.
Danielle Girard, Kate Nelles and Chloe Cadiuex were
named players of the match.
Northern
defeated St. Francois-Xavier 3-0, winning 25-13,
25-15 and 25-16. Julie McQueen and Hayley Paige-Potvin
were named players of the match.
In girls
hockey, LCCVI defeated SCITS 4-0. Erin Toth had a
goal and two assists, while Kate Turner, Jenna Rops
and Amy VandenEynde had a goal and an assist. Amelia
Maniuk had the shutout for the Lancers.
Finally in
boys hockey, St. Clair and St. Chris skated to a 2-2
draw. St. Chris has still not lost in regulation
this season.
