Dresden
and Blenheim were each tied for the final playoff
spot heading into Friday's match up. And with a
shutout performance, Dresden pushes ahead into that
final playoff spot with a 3-0 win over Blenheim.
Dresden
opened the scoring in the first period as Josh
Beatty made it 1-0 for the Kings. In the second
period, Dylan Mertz would make it 2-0, and Jim Rouse
would round out the scoring for the Kings to make it
3-0.
Eric
Steinman stopped all shots that he faced in the
victory to help push Dresden into fourth place in
the North Division, two points ahead of Blenheim.
Dresden is now 8-19-5 with 21 points, while Blenheim
goes to 9-22-0 and remains at 19 points.
