The Stephanie Van Huyse rink from Oakville won big
against the Stacey Hogan rink from
Tam
Heather Curling & Tennis Club, winning 9-1 in just 6
ends. They started quickly, getting two points with
the hammer. In the third end they would steal three
to make it 5-0. The Hogan rink took one in the 4th
end, but the Oakville club would take one in the 5th
and steal three again in the 6th end for the 9-1
victory.

2, Jamie Sinclair's rink from
St. Thomas
Curling Club took four in the 4th end to help win a
6-2 match against Ginger Coyle's Highland Country
Club rink. Coyle's team was able to take single
points in the 3rd and 5th ends, but were not able to
add anymore, as Sinclair's rink added a point in the
8th and 9th end before the match was called.

3, Jasmin Thurston's rink handed Clancy Grandy's
rink their first loss with an 8-5 win. Both teams
represented
the
Kitchener-Waterloo Granite Club, with Thurston's
rink falling behind early to Grandy. Both teams
would exchange two points in the 4th and 5th set,
but Thurston would take three in the 7th end and
singles in the next two ends to push to a 8-5
victory.

4, Shannon Harrington's rink from Ottawa defeated
Nicole McNiven's rink from
Carleton
Heights Curling Club 7-3. The Harrington rink strole
four points, including three in the 9th end for the
victory.
Men's
action quick games and big scores. Matthew Camm's
rink from Ottawa won 9-3 in 7 ends, as they took
four in the 4th end and stole two in the 5th end and
took another two in the 7th end for the victory.
On sheet 6
Richard Krell's rink from St. Thomas won 10-3 over
Matt Dickson' rink from Annandale Country Club.
Krell's rink took two early on, and stole three in
the 5th end for the lead. After Dickson's rink took
two of their own, Krell's team came back with four
points in the 7th end for the large victory.
On sheet
7, Robert Collins' rink from the
Coldwater
& District Curling Club also won 10-3 over Derreck
Veitch's rink from the Stroud Curling Club. Collins
stole two to open the first end, while taking
another two in the third with the hammer. In the 5th
and 7th ends he took three with the hammer for the
victory.
And
finally on sheet 8, Michael Bryson's rink from
Annandale Country Club and Kurtis Byrd's rink from
the Rideau Curling Club were the only game to go the
distance, as Bryson's rink won 8-6. The match went
back and forth for the first four ends with each
team getting one point with the hammer. In the 5th,
Bryson took two, but Byrd would get one back in the
6th and steal one in the 7th to tie it back up. In
the 8th end, Bryson would pull ahead as his rink
took three points with the hammer. They would give
two back in the 9th, but with hammer in the 10th,
they took one point for the victory.
