Two
teams striving to move up in the standings of their
respective conferences will clash Thursday night in
a Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League interlocking
game at the Brock Street Barn.

– Sarnia Legionnaires (17-15-3) vs. Brantford Golden
Eagles (22-11-1).

– Thursday, Jan. 6 with the puck drop set for 7:10
p.m.
WHO'S HOT:
Brantford
– Mike Ryan has 21 goals for the Eagles.
Sarnia
– Jesse Drydak has scored three goals in his last
two games to bring his total for the season to 23.
SIGNIFICANCE
Brantford, which is in fourth place in the GOJHL's
Midwest Conference, is just three points out of
second. Sarnia, which is in sixth in the Western
Conference, is just one point behind fifth ranked
St. Marys.
HISTORY
– The Legionnaires seldom see Brantford because the
club's play in different conferences. In fact, they
did not play the Golden Eagles at all last season
and this will be their only encounter with them this
campaign. In 2009, the two clubs split a pair of
games at the OHA's annual double round robin
'Tournament of Champions.'
Sarnia got to the tourney by winning the Western
Ontario championship, while Brantford won the
Midwest title.
