Lambton was back at home on Sunday evening hosting
the Panthers from Sun County.
Daniel Wellington cashed in on a Panthers give-away
wristing one home from the slot to open the scoring
for the Lambton Jr. Sting. Sun County would answer
right back scoring less than a minute later to even
things up at 1-1 after the first period. Mid-way
through the second period Nash Nienhuis would again
give Lambton the lead, scoring on the power play
with the assist going to Ryan Gould.
Lambton would look to increase the lead but after a
near miss, Sun County would take the puck up the ice
and walk in on net to make it 2-2 after period two.
The third period saw a number of good chances
including posts hit by both teams including one by
Sun County in the final minute but no further
scoring occurred and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
Ethan Hunt was on his game in net.
Daniel Wellington and Nash Nienhuis each had one
goal.
Ryan Gould had one assist
