Predators lose by another wide margin
sarniasports.com January 24th, 2011

It has been a tough year for the Lambton Shores Predators, as the hockey team lost another big game to St. Mary's 11-2 on Sunday night.

St. Mary's opened the scoring as Sean Consitt made it 1-0, but the Predators would reply under a minute later as Matt Rupert scored his 25th of the season to tie it at 1-1. But the St. Mary's special teams would take over as Mitchell Berzins would score on the powerplay and Calvin Thomson would score shorthanded to give the Lincolns a 3-1 lead after the first.

Things didn't get better in the second, as St. Mary's put in 4 goals on 17 shots. Brett Welychka scored two in the period, while Consitt got his second of the game and Chris Holmes netted a goal to give the Lincolns a 7-1 lead.

In the third, Consitt would complete his hat-trick shorthanded, while Berzins would get his second of the game for a 9-1 lead. Adam Arseneault would get his 13th of the season for the Predators, but Consitt would score his fourth of the game and Calvin Penney would add one more for the 11-2 victory.

Lambton Shores has a 4-23-1 record and has not won since October 30th. Their next game is against London on Saturday, January 29th.
