 The TNT Tornados won the Midget AA Silver Stick
championship with a 4-3 victory over Hatfield that
needed four overtime periods to find a winner.
Tyler
Mankley started the scoring for Hatfield, giving
them an early 1-0 lead. TNT would reply as Nick
Archibald made it 1-1 at the end of the first
period. Hatfield would retake the lead when Frank
Trieino scored with fifteen seconds left in the
period to make it 2-1.
In the
second, TNT would tie it once again when Matthew
Thompson scored to tie the game at 2-2 heading into
the third period.
 In the
third period, Hatfield would take their third lead
of the game as Jake Merana made it 3-2. But again
TNT would make a come back and with 2:57 left in the
period, as Joseph Prosper scored to tie the game and
send it into overtime.
Four
overtimes would be needed to solve this game, and it
ended of a fluke by Hatfield goalie, who gave the
puck away and allowed for a pass to a wide open
Archibald who had the open net to shoot at, and he
made no mistake in putting it away to give TNT the
victory.
