Purple Eagles win Atom B finals
andrew brethauer January 23rd, 2011

The Niagara Purple Eagles took the Atom B finals in the Sarnia Silver Stick with a 5-2 victory over the Campbellford Colts.

The Eagles took a big lead in the first as Chace Woods made it 1-0 just thirty-six seconds into the game, followed up his second goal a minute and a half later. Christopher Tobey added a late first period goal to put the Purple Eagles up 3-0 after the first.

In the second, the Colts would begin to mount their comeback, as Natahan Dunkley made it 3-1 midway through the period, and a minute later Noah Robertson made it 3-2 to bring the Colts to within one.

Unfortunatley that is as close as they would come, as Tobey would add his second of the game at the start of the third period and Woods completed the hat-trick to give the Purple Eagles the 5-2 victory and the Atom B Championship.
