High
School's in the LSSAA returned to action Tuesday
after the Christmas break.
In Junior
Boys Basketball action, St. Christopher's beat St.
Clair 48-28 at St. Clair. C. Brown had 15 points for
the Cyclones while E. Steeves had 11. J. Elipani had
17 points for the Colts, and F. Smith had 5. St.
Christopher's is now 4-0 on the season and in first
place, while St. Clair is 2-3 and sits in fourth.
In Senior
Boys action, the North Lambton Eagles got their
first win of the season with a 40-30 victory over
the LCCVI Lancers. Mike Lucier had 19 points for the
Eagles, while Alex Mclean had 8 points for the
Lancers. The Eagles are now 1-2 on the season, while
the Lancers remain winless at 0-4.
St. Clair
took a beating at the hands of St. Christopher's in
other Senior Boys action, falling 71-26 to the
Cyclones. J. Rocca had 18 points for the Cyclones,
while E. McDonald had 13. For the Colts, T. Nahmabin,
J. Moffat and J. DeGroot each had 6 points. St.
Christopher's remains undefeated at 5-0 and in first
place, while St. Clair sits in third with a 3-2
record.
VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS
The Junior
Girls Volleyball division had games as well, with
the Northern Vikings defeating the SCITS Blue
Bombers 3-0. The Vikings won each set, winning
25-18, 25-19, 25-21. Mackenzie Turner was the player
of the match for Northern, while Showlin Mackenzie
and Andie Storozuk were the players of the match for
SCITS. Northern is now 5-0 and in first place, while
SCITS is 2-2 and currently sits in third.
North
Lambton got passed LCCVI 2-1, dropping the first set
20-25, but came back to win the final two sets,
25-14, 25-18.
Amanda Melo was the player of the match for the
Eagles while Emelia Unsworth got the honour for
LCCVI. This was North Lambtons first win with a 1-2
record, while LCCVI has lost each game and is 0-5.
In Senior
Girls Volleyball, Northern defeated SCITS 3-0, as
Kelsie Roberts picks up the player of the match for
the Vikings. Northern won each set, 25-16, 25-18,
25-19. Mallory Last and Mykayla McCabe were the
players of the match for SCITS. Northern is
now 4-2 and sits in fourth place, while SCITS has
not won yet and is 0-5.
LCCVI
remains in first place with a 5-1 record after they
defeated North Lambton 3-0 in a close match-up. The
first two sets needed extra points, winning both
sets 26-24, while in the third, the Lancers won
25-18. North Lambton is now 0-4 and in 7th place.
