There were two final games in LSSAA sports before
the exam break, and St. Christopher Cyclones and St.
Clair Colts boys hockey teams each walked away with
victories.
The
Cyclone's preserved their undefeated status and
first place position with a 7-5 victory this
afternoon over the Vikings. Leading the Cyclone's
scoring was Ben Morrison with a natural hat trick.
Adding to the Cyclone offense was Spencer Bronzi
with 2 goals, Corey Pawley with 3 assists, Pietro
Restivo with a goal and 2 assists, Matteo Ciccarelli
and Brandon Moore with 2 assists each, Keegan
Brandon with a goal and Chad Beauchamp with an
assist.
Ben Sokol
had 2 goals for the Vikings, while Elliott Pecora
and Dan Charlton had one each. Reid Wilcox had a
goal and an assist, while Jeff Sit had two assists
for the Vikings.
In the
other match up, the Colts move one point behind
LCCVI with a 4-2 victory over North Lambton. The
Colts had four different goal scorers, as Matt Ward,
Trevor Crawford, Ryan Smith and Dan Lumley each
tallied goals for St. Clair. Lumley added an assist,
as did Karsten Berg, Matt Brandon and Dan Hachey,
while Set Hellinga, fresh form his All-Star game
appearance picked up the victory for Colts.
Breet
Mackenzie had a goal and an assist for the Eagles,
while PJ Van Bree had a goal, and Ben Lane had an
assist in the loss.
St.
Christopher's still holds first place with a 7-0-2
record, followed by LCCVI with an 5-1-2 record. St.
Clair comes in third before the break with a 5-2-1
record and Northern rounds out those in a playoff
spot at 2-4-1. SCITS is only two points back of the
Vikings with a 1-5-1 record, while North Lambton
still looks for their first win at 0-8-1.

January 21st, to February 2nd.
