LSSAA results for Tuesday, February 8th

It's getting close the the end of the season in LSSAA sports and with the final Tuesday before playoffs, it was another packed day on the courts and on the ice.

 

In junior volleyball actions, North Lambton defeated SCITS 2-1, winning sets with 25-22, 25-15 scores. Nicole Soetemans and Amy McIntyre were named players of the match.

 

Northern defeated St. Patrick's 2-1, winning 25-16, 25-16 sets while M. Lumby and Emily Peckham won players of the match honours.

 

In senior volleyball St. Patrick's defeated Northern 2-1, winning sets 25-19, 25-19. Sarah Maxfield was player of the match for Northern and Jessica Cooke for the Irish.

 

And North Lambton defeated SCITS 2-1, 25-18, 25-11. Jessi Mcregor won the player of the match.

 

In junior boys basketball action St. Patrick's defeated Northern 47-31. C. Brown had 14 points for the Irish while M. Edwards had 7 and O. Malespin had 7. Dalton Kilmer had 8 and Jordan Huzevka had 7 for the Vikings.

 

In senior boys action, SCITS defeated North Lambton 47-41. Brandon Kerrigan had18 and Tom Mullen 10 points for the Bombers while Mike Lucier had 25 for the Eagles.

 

Northern topped St. Patrick's 82-54 and St. Christopher's defeated LCCVI 60-32 to round out the basketball action from Tuesday.

 

In girls hockey Janelle Labadie scored two goals to help St. Christopher's top North Lambton 4-1. Riley Wilhelm and Kassie Kerrigan had single goals for the Cyclones, while Kerrie Dirven had one goal for the Eagles.

 

In boys hockey Northern handed SCITS a big loss as they won 9-0. S. Krall had the shutout while S. Park and D. Triest had two goals and Fraser, B. Vandenbroek, L. Stephens, T. Whitely and R. Trottier had single goals.

 

In curling match ups St. Christopher's had two big victories over North Lambton in boys and girls curling as they won 16-1 in girls action and 15-1 in boys action.

 

And St. Patrick's and LCCVI split matches, as St. Patrick's won 4-3 in girls play and LCCVI won 8-4 in boys action.
