LSSAA results from Thursday February 3rd

LSSAA action resumed Thursday after exam week, as the teams get closer to playoffs with only a few games remaining in the season.

In junior boys basketball, Dalton Kilmer had 11 points and Jordan Juzevka had 8 points for Northern in a 45-17 victory over LCCVI. Chalpka had 5 points for the Lancers in the effort.

In junior girls volleyball action, Northern defeated LCCVI 2-1, with a 25-18 and 25-8 set victories. The Lancers won their set 25-10. St. Clair also won 2-1 over North Lambton. Ashley Cornelissen was named player of the match. And SCITS won 2-1 over St. Patricks, with 25-23, 25-23 set victories and 20-25 set loss.

In senior girls action, LCCVI won 27-25, 25-14,10-25 as the defeated Northern 2-1. Vanessa Dam was named the player of the match. And The Irish of St. Patrick's shutout the Blue Bombers with a 26-8, 25-6, 25-9 three set victory.

Finally in girls hockey, St. Patrick's shutout SCITS 4-0. Sarah McLaughlin got the shutout for the Irish while Kaylyn Moran, Meghan Potvin, Melissa Kelly and Torey Vandervaart.scored.
