The
Lambton Jr Sting Minor Atom AAA squad will begin
it's 6 point playoff series with the Kitchener Jr
Rangers on Saturday. The Sting were relegated to the
consolation round after losing their quarterfinal
playdown series with Sun County 7 points to 1.
After falling behind 4-0 in the 6 point series the
Sting rallied for a 3-3 tie in Game 3 of the series.
Josh McLean scored twice including the tying goal
with just 3 seconds remaining in regulation. Spencer
Vandenboom had the other goal in a game that the
Stingbattled back from 2 goals down with less than 5
minutes to play. Jaycob White had 2 assists with
Nolan DeGurse, Dylan Riddell, Ryan Barwitzki and
Brandon Neelin each getting one helper.
The series with Sun County would end the next day
when the Sting fell 6-2 at home. Cole MacKinnon and
Nolan DeGurse would score the Lambton goals.
