Lambton Jr. Sting knocked out of play dows
sarniasports.com February 20th, 2011

Lambton was back on the road on Monday night in London to attempt to get into the series.

The game would remain scoreless until London was able to capitalize on a Jr. Sting penalty to score a power play goal and take the lead.

The score would stay 1-0 through the end of period one but the Jr. Knights would increase their lead to 2-0 and would score again less than a minute later to make it 3-0.

The Jr. Sting were struggling to win puck battles and to get any sustain attacks going on the London net.

After a Lambton goalie change, again hoping to change the momentum, the Jr. Knights scored to increase the lead to 4-0 and as has been the case throughout the series London scored quickly again to make it 5-0.

The Jr. Sting attempted to mount a comeback in the third but none was in the offing and the game ended in a 5-0 loss for Lambton and a series sweep by London.

Good luck to the very strong London Jr. Knights. Lambton will join the Alliance Playoffs in the next 1 – 2 weeks.
