The Dresden Jr. Kings were down 4-1 after two
periods of play, but scored four goals in the third
period to take a 5-4 victory over the Wheatley
Sharks.
Wheatley opened the game with two powerplay goals
1:25 apart, as Andy Stevenson and Jordan Carnevale
made it 2-0 for the Sharks. James Shelton would cut
the lead to one for the Kings as he added a

into the second.
Wheatley would score twice in the second to increase
their lead, as Anthony Stankiewicz would make it
3-1, and Patrick Lauzon would make it 4-1 with a

But
the fortunes would turn for the Kings, as Cody
McPhail while killing a penalty would score
shorthanded to cut the lead to two. Three minutes
later, Dylan Mertz would score on the powerplay to
make it a one goal game. McPhail would get his
second of the game of the powerplay as well to tie
the game at 4-4. Finally Ryan Cook would score the
game winner, as the Kings put four in the net on 19
shots to take the victory.
Brent Paxton started the game for the Kings and
saved 26 of 30 shots before being pulled to start
the third. Eric Steinman made all 10 saves in
his period of work to get the win. Aeron Romeril
stopped 38 of 43 shots in the loss.
