Lambton
traveled to
Bothwell on
Saturday
evening to
play the
Chatham-Kent
Cyclones.
Neither team
looked like
they had any
jump in the
first period
and shots on
net and the
score showed
it.
Daniel
Wellington
got Lambton
on the board
in the
second
period
jumping on
the rebound
from a Jacob
Williams
point shot.
The Jr.
Sting had
chances to
expand on
the lead but
it was
Chatham, who
would score
next, later
in the
second
period to
tie it at
1-1.
Lambton’s
Wellington
picked up
his second
goal of the
game
converting
on another
rebound;
this time
off a Cade
Robbins
point shot
to get the
Jr. Sting
the lead.
Lambton
would again
have chances
to up the
lead but
were not
able to
convert
their
chances. The
score would
remain 2-1
for Lambton
until late
in the game.
With the
Chatham
goaltender
removed for
an extra
attacker the
Cyclones
would manage
to corral a
loose puck
and put it
in the net.
Daniel
Wellington
scored the
two goals.
Jacob
Williams,
Cade Robbins
and Jared
Pageau had
the assists.
Ethan Hunt
got the tie
between the
pipes.
