Squires put up nine on Pirates

The Petrolia Squires put up nine goals on the Goderich Pirates Friday night.

JJ Martin opened the game with a goal, and Jason Polera made it 2-0 for the Squires. The Pirates would cut the lead to one, but Mike Perry would restore the two goal lead for Petrolia. Goderich would again cut the lead to one to end the period 3-2.

In the second period, Martin would get his second of the game, and Brad Hull would add a goal to put the Squires up by three. Petrolia did not allow a single goal during the second period.

In the third, the Squires scored four more times. Jason McPhail, Brad Cooper and Ryan Chapman added single goals, while Polera added his second of the game.

The Squires will take on Tillsonburg Thunder on Friday, December 17th at home in Petrolia.
