The Alvinston Flyers still remain in in third place after they drop to the Belle River Canadiens 5-2 on Friday night.

But the Flyers would get a late period powerplay goal to tie things up at two heading into the second.
But the Flyers would go cold scoring past the season, as Belle River got a powerplay goal in the second to take a 3-2 lead, and outshot the Flyers 15-8 in the period. Things would get worse in the third as Matt Todd scored short handed just twenty-two seconds into the third to put the Canadiens up 4-2. Brandon Larocque would make it 5-2 with his goal at 14:25.
Brandon Campbell stopped 41 of 46 shots in the loss for the Flyers.
These two teams will meet again on Sunday, December 12th in a rematch, this time in Alvinston.
