continued
their
winning
streak, as
they take an
8-3 win over
the Lucan
Ilderton
Jets.
The Jets had
the first
lead of the
game, until
Jeremiah
Goodacre
scored to
tie things
at one.
Lucan would
add another
goalie to
pull ahead
again, but
the Squires
would answer
back with
three goals.
Jason
McPhail
added two in
a row, and
JJ Martin
put the puck
in just
before the
buzzer
sounded for
the end of
the first to
give the
Squires a
4-2 lead
after one.
The momentum
stayed with
the Squires
as Mike
Gardner
scored early
for
Petrolia,
and McPhail
capped off
the
hat-trick a
minute later
to give
Petrolia a
6-2 lead.
Lucan would
add one in
the final
seconds of
the period
to make it
6-3.
But the
Squires
would add
two more, as
Brad Cooper
and Jason
Polera would
put in the
final two
for Petrolia
in their 8-3
victory.
The Squires
will return
home next
week to take
on the
Goderich
Pirates on
Friday
December
10th.
