Friday
night, as
Petrolia
played their
final home
game of a
three game
stretch.
Dan Veenema
opened the
scoring for
the Squires,
to give them
a 1-0 lead.
Milverton
would
respond with
a goal to
tie things
at one. The
second
period had
no goals
scored, as
both teams
were
deadlocked.
Come the
third,
Petrolia
would open
up their
offence.
Just seconds
into the
third,
Veenema
scored his
second of
the game.
Milverton
would not
respond till
midway
through the
third, tying
things up
again with a
powerplay
goal. Jason
Polera would
score
seconds
later to put
the Squires
back up and
they never
looked back,
as Mitch
Zavitz and
Scott
McPahil
added the
the
remaining
two goals
for the
Squires in
the victory.
The Squires
next take on
the Lucan-Ilderton
Jets,
Saturday,
December
4th.
