Jr. Kings upset Canadien's

The Dresden Jr. Kings pulled an upset off Friday, as they defeated the South Division first place Belle River Canadien's 5-1

Dresden had the only goal in the first period despite being outshot 14-8, as Tyler Clarke scored his second of the season. Belle River would tie the game in the second on the powerplay, but Dresden would get two goals in twenty-three seconds to go up by two. Joe Deboer scored on the powerplay while Jim Rouse added the addition goal seconds later.

Rouse would find the back of the net again in the third as Dresden took a three goal lead. Dylan Mertz would make it a four goal lead, and Eric Steinman would keep the net closed, as he stopped 46 of 47 shots for the Victory. The Jr. Kings were outshout in every period, yet still walked away with the large victory.

With the win, Dresden pulls into a tie with Blenheim for 4th in the North Division. Their next match up is against Essex who is tied with Belle River for first in the South.
