The
Dresden Jr. Kings moved into a tie with Blenheim on
Wednesday night for fourth spot in the North
Division, as the Kings beat the Blades 7-2.
Dresden
got things started early as Josh Beatty put in his
8th of the season and first of the game to make it
1-0 for the kings just 3:19 into the first. It would
take Blenheim ten minutes to finally reply, as Aidan
Wiebenga tied the game at one with his first of the
season. But Joe Deboer would put the Kings back up
three minutes later, and give Dresden a 2-1 lead
heading into the second.
But the
Blades wouldn't go away, as Taylor Phillips scored
on one of only six shots the Blades had in the
period. But Beatty would put the Kings up again he
got his second of the game later in the third period
to give the Kings a 3-2 lead.
The third
period was all Dresden, as the Kings scored four
goals. Tyler Clarke added his third of the season,
and would later get his second of the game and
fourth of the season. Beatty would complete the
hat-trick in between those goals, while Jeremy
Griffore would get the final tally for the Kings who
take it 7-2.
Eric
Steinman stopped 29 of 31 shots he faced, while
Dylan Vanderpol stoped 41 of 48 shots.
Dresden
will next play in the new year, taking on first
place Wallaceburg on January 5th.
