The Point Edward Novice Blackhawks were
matched up against Strathroy Novice White in an away
game on Thursday night, in their last league game
before the Christmas break. The team showed great
form with an outstanding display of passing! Quick
puck movement allowed the Point to notch another win
on the road.
The Point
scored 26 seconds into the game on a goal from Jaxon
Lucas but was held to a one goal lead until 3:25
when Owen Shearon added a second goal.
The second
period was scoreless, with the entire team working
on their passing game.
The third
period saw two more goals added by Jimmy Simpson
(4:30) and Owen Shearon (4:01), making the final
score 4-0.
Luke
Crombeen was able to wrangle his 6th
shutout of the season and dropped his GAA to 1.40.
The team is sitting near the top of the league
standings with an impressive 13-1-1 record. This
week’s passing shows that the team is starting to
solidify as a unit. Moving the puck to the open man
will help against tough opposition in the second
half of the season. |
