Powerplay goals do in Jr. Kings

The Dresden Jr. Kings allowed three powerplay goals to the Kingsville Comets which ultimately caused their loss, as the Comets take it 3-2.

The first powerplay goal came ay 4:27 when Justin Parker scored his 6th of the year to put the Comets up 1-0. Ryan Rodger would make it 2-0 for the Comets with his powerplay goal at 14:40. Dresden would get one back near the end of the first as Brennan Rainer scored to make it 2-1 after one.

Dresden would tie it up early in the second as Josh Beatty scored 1:31 into the first period. But four minutes later, Andrew Meloche would score the third powerplay goal of the game, as he scored the games eventual game winner. Neither team managed to score in the third period.

Eric Steinman made 28 of 31 saves for the Jr Kings in the loss. The Kings will play once more in 2010 Blenheim on Wednesday, December 29th.
