Minor Atom AAA extend winning streak to 4

The Lambton Minor Atom AAA Sting won twice over the weekend to extend their winning streak to 4 games. Counting tournament play the surging Sting have just 1 loss in their last 8 outings.

On Saturday the Sting travelled to Chatham and came away with a 12-1 victory over the Cyclones. Brock Barber led the Lambton attack with 3 goals. Josh McLean, Dylan Riddell and Nolan DeGurse each scored two with singles coming from Ryan Barwitzki, Spencer Vandenboom and Brandon Neelin. Cole MacKinnon and Hunter Monkhouse each had 5 assists in the win. Lennex Jagoo earned the victory in net.

Sunday the Sting headed to Glencoe to face off against the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs. Led by a strong powerplay the Sting would cruise to a 9-4 victory. Jaycob White scored once and added three assists, all with the man advantage, to lead the Lambton offense. Josh McLean, Brock Barber and Nolan DeGurse each had 2 goals with Ryan Barwitzki and Dylan Riddell adding singles. Hunter Monkhouse had 3 assists while Greg Ross and Brandon Neelin each earned 2 helpers. Liam McCarthy picked up the win between the pipes.
