The Sarnia Jr. Sting Major Atom MD finished off the month of November by defeating the Oakridge Aeros 6-1 on Wednesday November 30th at the Oakridge Arena.Evan Trigatti picked up a rebound and buried the biscuit for the first goal of the game with 6 minutes left in the first period. Evans goal was assisted by Cole Goosens. Nathan Oliphant had some help from Ian Bailey as he scored the games second goal with three mnutes left in the first.
Ryan Eyre scored on a wrap around early in the second with assists going to Evan Trigatti and Ian Bailey. Mat Waun scored at the eight minute mark of the third period as he threw the puck on net and fooled the Oakridge goalie. Tyler Talbot-Ellis assisted on Mat's goal. Ryan Eyre picked up his second goal of the contest from Nathan Oliphant and Collin Zimmer had an unassisted dinger to finish off the game.
Both Stevie Schaefer and Cameron Stevens played well in net for the Jr. Sting, Only allowing 1 Oakridge goal half way through the third. Player of the game picks for this game were Mat Waun for the coach's pick and Tyler Talbot-Ellis for the parents.
