DECEMBER
16, 2011
The
Sarnia Jr. Sting Major Atom MD traveled to London on
Wednesday December 14 and blanked the London Bandits
3-0.
After a scoreless
first Cole Goosens fired home a short-handed goal
from Damon Skinn-Wai. In the third period
Tyler-Talbot-Ellis snuck a puck through the Bandit
goalies five-hole and Collin Zimmer added a
top-shelf zinger to complete the scoring. Tyler and
Collin’s goals were both unassisted.
Damon Skinn-Wai
earned the coach's appreciation and the player of
the game puck for playing a solid, "heads-up"
contest on the blue-line. Ian Bailey continued to
earn player of the game pucks as he got the nod from
the parents.
Cameron Stevens
earned the shut-out for Sarnia who now boast a
12-2-2 record in league play. The Jr. Sting travel
to London again on Saturday December 17 to face the
first place London Nationals at the Carling Arena.
Puck drops at 2:30.
