Midget MD took a win a loss in recent action

The
Minor Midget MD team played two games recently and
came up with a win and a loss.
The team traveled to Woodstock's Southwood arena
last Saturday. They came up with a 3 - 0 win, with
Jesse Duguay earning his first shutout of the season
in league play.
The first goal was scored on the powerplay by Marcus
Dusseault assisted by Dan Vallee in the first
period. A second goal was scored early in the second
assisted by Colton Healy and Dan Vallee. With less
than 2 minutes left in the third, Woodstock pulled
their goalie and Konnor Harris was able to put it in
the empty net with 1:10 left on the clock.
On Monday the team faced off against London Bandits
Black at Clearwater arena on the blue side. By the
time Eric Cunningham scored the first Sarnia goal
with 4:05 left in the second, the Bandits had
already scored 2. Eric was assisted by Mario Hudson
and Christian Kerrigan.
The Bandits answered with two more goals in the
second, making the score 4 to 1. It was time for
Sarnia to launch an offensive. Colton Healy scored
off the first face off in the third to make the
score 4 to 2. He was helped along by Marcus
Dusseault and Konnor Harris. Another goal was scored
shortly after by Joey Austin , assisted by Mario
Hudson put the team one goal away from tying up the
game. The rest of the third period was hard fought
with each team receiving three penalties. Sarnia's
goalie, Jesse Duguay was called to the bench with a
couple of minutes left in the game. Sarnia proceeded
to apply pressure but the puck got loose. A Bandit
picked it up, scored an empty netter, ending
Sarnia's hope of tying or winning the game. Final
score 5 to 3.
The team are on the road Tuesday night facing London
North - game time 8:30 PM at Carling arena.
