The Atom
Blackhawks went on the road Sunday
afternoon to Thedford to play the
Lambton Shore Predators and came home
with a 3 - 1 win.
Jonathon King starting the scoring and
assisted by Nik Kootstra and Jared
Henry. Jaxon Lucas followed with a 2nd
goal, assisted by Jonathon King and Rian
Dinyer. The Lambton Shores Predators
came back and scored 1 goal to make it a
close game. To finish off the scoring,
Owen Shearon scored the third goal with
a nice pass from Cole Whitworth from
deep in the corner from Shaun McDermott.
The rest of the game was like a tennis
match with excellent goal tending on
both sides that did not allow any more
goals in the 2nd and 3rd periods..
On
Monday night the Atom's were back on
their winning streak after defeating
Lucan 3 - 2 in a nail bitter game at
home.
Lucan scored the 1st goal, but the
Blackhawks answered back shortly
after with a goal from Jeff Horner,
assisted by Nik Robson and Justin
Waun. In the 3rd period both
teams put on the heat.
Jonathon King scored from the point
to regain the lead. Rian Dinyer and
Jeff Horner assisted on the goal.
The Blackhawks took a penalty which
allowed Lucan to tie things up
scoring on the power play. In an
exciting finish and with just 9
seconds left on the clock, Ethan
Boucher slammed the puck home to win
the game with help from his
linemates Shaun McDermott and Daniel
Luciani.
