Sarnia Fury Black back on winning track
sarniasports.com August 4th, 2011

The Sarnia Fury Black travelled to Suncor Park to face city rivals Bluewater Boom. The Fury were anxious to pick-up the win as they had lost their two previous league games.

Boom started strong advancing the ball on a very quick pace. They were awarded for their strong effort opening the scoring early in the game. The Fury composed themselves and responded quickly when striker Isaiah Edlington advanced the ball firing a shot on goal which was redirected into the net by mid-fielder James Brown. Sarnia pressed furiously dominating possession, taking the one goal lead when Edlington found his range and blasted a shot into the back of the Boom goal. Fury was up 2 - 1 at the half.

A short Boom bench proved to be difficult as the defense began to tire. The Fury advanced the ball and made some great passing plays, however they could not solve the strong Boom keeper. Their best chance came when Fury striker Mateo Troiani sent the perfect through ball to mid-fielder Dominic Krasinkiewicz, who found himself alone on goal only to fire it wide of the goal post. The Fury defense would prevent any opportunities shutting down the Boom offence. Strong play was evident by defenders : Nathan Ingles, Alex Newall and Christian D'Agostini. Forced pressure by Fury forwards were finally rewarded when mid-fielder James Brown picked-up his second goal of the game on a beautiful header which eluded the Boom keeper. That would close out the scoring and put the Black Fury back on the winning track. Final Score: Sarnia Fury Black 3 vs. Bluewater Boom 1.
